The Living Dead is a week-long evangelism event designed to pique the interest of young teens using a pop culture inspired theme rooted in the idea of dead souls made alive through Christ. Inspired by The Walking Dead, the visuals combine hand-drawn artwork with bold typography and high-contrast composition so the message reads quickly and feels intense without losing clarity. The event later expanded internationally, including an early run in the Philippines in 2016.
Role
Graphic Designer and Illustrator. Developed the event look and feel, created hand-drawn artwork for key visuals, built the poster system, and prepared files for production and reuse.
Focus
Illustration-led event branding built to stand out in youth environments
Strong hierarchy for fast readability of dates, location, and sponsor info
Reusable layout system for future runs and quick detail updates
Clean production setup for print and digital deployment
Strategy & Concept
Youth events compete for attention. The strategy was to lead with a single memorable key visual, then support it with a clear typographic system so the design stays readable even when content changes. The result is a flexible identity that can scale from a hero poster to supporting promotional use without losing impact.
