This project focuses on creating cohesive branding for regional chapters for the Council of Korean Americans, including custom logos, print materials, swag, and large-scale banners. Designed to align with the national brand while allowing for local identity, the deliverables ensure each chapter has the tools to represent itself consistently and professionally across events, outreach, and community engagement.
Role
Senior Graphic Designer (Gimga Group). Built the chapter identity framework and produced supporting asset sets, including formatting, versioning, file organization, and export delivery for print and digital use.
Focus
Scalable chapter identity system aligned to the national brand
Production execution across web, social, and event collateral
Versioning across multiple chapters while keeping hierarchy and layout rules consistent
Delivery ready files with clean packaging and reliable exports
Quick scan layouts designed for real event and outreach contexts
Strategy & Concept
The strategy was to treat chapter branding as a structured extension system. Consistent lockup rules, typography, and reusable layouts create one recognizable family, while controlled variation gives each chapter a clear local presence. That balance helps chapters move quickly and stay consistent when producing recurring event announcements and ongoing social content.
System Breakdown
Chapter identity framework
Defined a repeatable lockup approach so chapter marks feel unified while remaining location specific
Kept typography and structure consistent so chapters read as one brand family
Template based collateral system
Built flexible layouts that can be reused for common chapter needs such as member highlights, advisor spotlights, and event announcements
Set up templates to support fast updates without breaking hierarchy or spacing
Multi channel production
Prepared assets that translate across desktop, mobile, and print formats, with consistent hierarchy and spacing rules
Adapted designs across sizes and placements while keeping the same core components
Production workflow
Maintained organized working files and version control so chapter variations can be produced efficiently over time
Packaged delivery ready exports for web, social, and print use
Outcome & Reflection
The result is a chapter ready toolkit that supports consistent representation across locations, with assets designed to be reused, updated, and deployed quickly for events and outreach.
A strong extension system makes local work faster because the rules are already built.
