Fashion Illustrations

This was an interesting collaboration. My clients from the Noomy Food Truck project asked me to create fashion illustrations for a new project fo theirs. They were just starting out in the fashion industry and english was their second language. It was a fun explorative process trying to translate the correct fashion term from Arabic to English and THEN illustrating their designs.
I think this was one of the most impactful project on my design process. Because they knew what they wanted but did not know how to explain or fully flesh out their idea we spent a good bit of time in the sketching phase. This consisted of several client coffee dates initially sketching on napkins, later learning from our experiences brining sketch pads and notebooks. The ladies I was working with with have notes already written about their designs. I would make a quick sketch on my sketch pad, similar to the active listening technic of repeating what someone said back to them in a way that you understood the comment or question. This cute down on the amount of drafts that needed to be changed to drastically edited.
